Livingstone's Special Situations Transactions Win Turnaround Atlas Awards

Livingstone’s Special Situations Practice is pleased to announce that two of our recent transactions have been recognized by the Global M&A Network for excellence and outstanding achievements in the global restructuring community. The Turnaround Atlas Awards have been awarded as follows:

Corporate Turnaround of the Year Award – Sale of Cardiac Science, a leading global provider of automated external defibrillators, to Aurora Resurgence.

Out of Court Restructuring of the Year Award – Sale of Harris Connect, a leading provider of alumni and membership directories to educational institutions and non-profit organizations, to Publishing Concepts, Inc.

“These awards are a testament to Livingstone’s special situations practice and our ability to develop, evaluate, and implement solutions for clients under a variety of difficult circumstances,” said Joseph Greenwood, Partner and Head of Livingstone’s U.S. Special Situations Practice. “As a full-service M&A and debt advisor that regularly assists clients throughout the complete business lifecycle, Livingstone continues to see a number of distressed businesses, despite robust conditions across the middle market.”

The Turnaround Atlas Awards exclusively honors excellence from the restructuring, distressed investing, insolvency, special situations M&A transactions and turnaround communities. The independent awards recognize achievements in the categories of best value-creating transactions, outstanding firms, top professionals and influential leaders. Livingstone previously received a Turnaround Atlas Award for “Professional Services Turnaround of the Year” for the 2013 sale of IPC International to Universal Protection Service.

Livingstone’s Special Situations practice has extensive experience advising middle-market companies during periods of underperformance, distress, and insolvency, and has a successful track record representing both debtors and creditors and offers a full range of advisory services including distressed M&A, debt and equity raises, restructuring existing debt or equity, strategic alternative and capital structure assessments, as well as committee and board representation.
