Livingstone welcomes Michael Westhoven as German Partner to its global Media & Technology Team

Michael Westhoven has joined Livingstone as a Partner in its global Media & Technology team. Westhoven has over 25 years of experience in media, tech, and communications M&A as a corporate finance advisor, venture capital investor, and as an operational executive with P&L responsibility.

He joins Livingstone from Houlihan Lokey where he was German Head of Technology, Media and Telecommunications.

“I am delighted to join Livingstone’s Media & Technology team to help build on their established platform and expand it across Europe. Livingstone’s excellent reputation, global footprint, and proven track record in delivering exceptional outcomes make it a go-to brand for entrepreneurs and investors seeking to transact in the Media & Technology sector,” shared Westhoven.

Michael began his career with BCG as a consultant for the global high-tech communication and e-commerce practice, subsequently working on the investing side for IRIS Capital. Additionally, he’s held executive positions at media group VIVA Media AG, Germany’s largest cable operator Kabel Deutschland, and was a Vice President at News Corporation’s FOX International Channels before joining corporate finance firm Leonardo Co., which was acquired by Houlihan Lokey in 2015.

Christian Grandin, partner at Livingstone Düsseldorf commented: “Michael is a perfect addition to our team. He brings with him a wealth of experience and an excellent network of contacts in the exciting and growing M&A sub-market Media & Technology, thereby expanding our skills in implementing international mandates in this sector.

Livingstone’s Media & Technology team is one of the most established and prolific in the mid-market, with recent high-profile transactions including the sale of Dennis Publishing (publisher of The Week magazine) to Exponent Private Equity; and the sale of North America’s leading Azure migration specialist Cardinal Solutions to Insight.
