Livingstone has advised Top Swede Konfektion AB on its sale to Båstad-Gruppen. Livingstone was exclusive financial advisor and led a structured process where the team’s experience and transaction expertise were crucial in achieving a successful result.

Båstad-Gruppen acquires all of the shares in Top Swede. The previous owners, Jonas Sjölander and Teresa Hadzic stay on as co-owners in Båstad-Gruppen and continue to operate Top Swede.

Founded in 1998, Top Swede is a leading supplier of personal protective equipment in Sweden. Today, Top Swede offers a complete product portfolio in professional and profile clothing under its brand and safety shoes via external brands. In 2020, Top Swede had sales of approximately SEK 145 million (USD 17M), with its brand accounting for the largest sales volume share.

Jonas and Teresa established Top Swede as a solid brand with an extensive product portfolio and a respected reputation in the market. “The company’s fleet-footed organization combined with Båstad-Gruppen’s breadth and network will make the merged group a powerful supplier of professional and profile clothing,” says Daniel Ohlsson, Partner at Livingstone.

Båstad-Gruppen is one of the Nordic region’s leading suppliers of workwear, safety, and professional shoes, with sales via retailers throughout Europe. Båstad-Gruppen is owned by Storskogen, a privately owned group of companies that currently has a turnover of SEK 10 billion (USD 1B).

This is the 61st transaction completed in the Consumer sector in the last five years, following the majority sale of Loviseberg Presseri to SEB Private Equity, the sale of INR to the danish company Dansani and the sale of Cliniclands to Henry Schein.

Morris Law was the legal advisor to the sellers during the sales process.
