Livingstone bolsters special situations practice with new hire

Livingstone is pleased to announce the further expansion of its Special Situations practice with the addition of David Bierman as Associate Director.

Bierman is the latest addition to Livingstone’s growing Special Situations practice, following the recent additions of Remington Zience and David Bergal. He brings over 15 years of financial advisory and operating experience working on a variety of M&A and capital market transactions across the Industrial, Business Services, and Real Estate sectors. His transaction experience includes sell-side and buy-side advisory, debt and equity capital raises, and balance sheet restructurings.

Prior to joining Livingstone, David was a Vice President with Houlihan Lokey. Before his work with Houlihan, he was an Associate at The Athena Group, a real estate development fund where he led balance sheet restructurings and asset divestitures.

David joins a vibrant and growing Special Situations team that delivers terrific results for our clients,” shared Joe Greenwood, Partner and Head of the firm’s Special Situations practice. “David brings extensive distressed mergers and acquisitions (M&A) experience to the team, further bolstering our capabilities and capacity in our Special Situations practice.

Expanding our Special Situations team has been, and will continue to be, a key priority, as we expect the ongoing economic headwinds associated with the Covid-19 pandemic to, unfortunately, increase the instances of financial distress throughout the middle market.” shared Steve Miles, Managing Partner at Livingstone. “We intend to be fully staffed to help our clients navigate these complex situations.

Livingstone’s Special Situations practice provides multi-disciplinary capabilities and experience, helping clients solve problems in challenging, time-sensitive environments through senior-level attention to ensure all strategic alternatives are quickly evaluated.
