Livingstone advises the shareholders of Data-Sec on the merger with indevis
Data-Sec, the IT security specialist for medium-sized companies, will join indevis as a member of a new full-service cybersecurity group backed by Sophora Unternehmerkapital.
Frankfurt am Main, June 2, 2025 – Sophora Unternehmerkapital GmbH (“Sophora”) announced today that Data-Sec GmbH (“Data-Sec”), March (near Freiburg) and indevis IT-Consulting and Solutions GmbH (“indevis”), Munich, are merging to form a cybersecurity group backed by Sophora. Livingstone Partners acted as exclusive M&A advisor to the shareholders of Data-Sec on the sale of their shares to a fund advised by Sophora.
The merger of Data-Sec and indevis creates a full-service cybersecurity group offering a comprehensive IT security portfolio that covers all aspects of protection, detection, and incident response. The merger marks the beginning of Sophora’s latest thematic buy-and-build platform, addressing the growing need for scalable, mission-critical IT security infrastructure in the European mid-market.
