Livingstone Madrid is leased to announce that it has advised Recreativos Franco, S.A.U., a leading Spanish international slot machines manufacturer, in the acquisition of a majority stake holding of Mediatech Solutions, S.L. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Founded in Madrid in 1965 by brothers Joaquín and Jesús Franco Muñoz, Recreativos Franco is the largest manufacturer of slot machines in Spain and in Latin America since 1984. The group has been instrumental in the development of the gaming industry in Spain, breaking records of branded gaming machines and pioneering exports, with operations in over 50 countries.
R Franco is now betting on the digital world, working with new formats such as online gaming machine interconnectivity and integral solutions and game management for bars, casinos and bingos.
Founded in 2009, Mediatech Solutions is a Spanish supplier of leading edge management and technological solutions for the gaming industry, principally through a software platform for online gaming that also allows interaction with physical gaming machines. Mediatech also offers consulting services to companies, governments and regulatory bodies on how to efficiently reach out to clients in unregulated markets. In the last three years, Mediatech has won 20% market share of online gaming systems, as well as winning new clients in Latin America and Asia.
With the acquisition of Mediatech Solutions, the Recreativos Franco Group has strengthened its strategic position in the sector and its overall presence in the online gaming industry.
