
David co-founded Livingstone in Chicago in 2007. Since the firm’s inception, Livingstone has quickly grown to an international team of 85 professionals in offices spanning 7 countries and was recently named one of the most active mid-market investment banking firms by Mergers & Acquisitions.
He has over two decades of investment banking experience advising middle-market companies and deep financial buyer expertise. He also has extensive experience advising on cross-border transactions and has led many of the firm’s most notable transactions. David shares management responsibility for the firm and is responsible for building key external relationships.
David serves on the Advisory Board of NextGen Growth Partners and is an active private-equity investor. He has served on many of Chicago’s leading civic, cultural, and political boards.
Prior to Livingstone, he was a Managing Director at Brown Gibbons Lang & Co. and spent four years in Corporate Finance at William Blair & Company. He was previously General Counsel to the Illinois Development Finance Authority and an advisor to Illinois Governor Jim Edgar.
