Livingstone has advised vitronet on its acquisition of Kabel & Tiefbau GmbH

Livingstone has advised vitronet Holding GmbH, a portfolio company of the funds advised by Deutsche Beteiligungs AG (DBAG), on the acquisition of Kabel and Tiefbau GmbH, a specialist in flush drilling and underground cable line construction. Terms of the transaction are undisclosed. 

With the transaction, the vitronet group is expanding its geographic focus and activities in Baden-Württemberg as a service provider in the field of civil engineering and assembly services. Founded in 1988 and managed by the third generation, the company acts as an established partner for special-purpose associations, municipal utilities, and network operators, particularly in the Black Forest area between Baden-Baden and Freiburg.

Kabel- und Tiefbau GmbH specializes in fiber optic expansion, cable expansion in wind farms, trenchless cable laying and classic civil engineering work. The company, based in Kehl-Goldscheuer, achieved sales of around twelve million euros in the 2021 financial year with 60 employees. The service portfolio includes civil engineering work up to soil class 7 in the areas of gas, water, electricity, broadband, and renewable energies for private and public customers as well as utility companies. With the takeover, the vitronet group strengthens and optimizes its existing service portfolio along the value chain and is now one of the most important industry players in nationwide infrastructure expansion.
