Livingstone advises Electrozemper on sale to FW Thorpe PLC

Livingstone has advised Electrozemper S.A. (Zemper), a Spanish manufacturer of emergency lighting on the sale of a majority share to FW Thorpe PLC, a professional lighting group listed on the London Stock Exchange.

Founded in 1967, Zemper is headquartered in Ciudad Real and specializes in the development, manufacturing, and commercialization of emergency lighting and wireless control systems for the architecture, infrastructure, and industrial sectors. The company exports to 30 countries worldwide, with an important presence in Europe. Zemper currently employs 120 people.

The Company has a strong R&D department and is responsible for the end-to-end production cycle, including electronics, plastic injection, and testing. The Company’s latest solutions and new launches in intelligent evacuation reinforce its position as an industry leader.

FW Thorpe, a group listed in the London Stock Exchange AIM (LON: TFW), is a strong partner for the Company, capable of orchestrating synergistic growth between the two companies.

The Zemper management team will stay on following the transaction and continue to run the Ciudad Real factory as well as subsidiaries in France, Belgium, and Northern African and Latin America markets.
