Livingstone’s Business Services team has advised the shareholders of Monarch Education Holdings Limited on the sale of the business to Capita plc.
Monarch Education is a provider of temporary and permanent recruitment services to primary, secondary and Special Educational Needs schools, placing teachers across much of England.
Founded by Mark Hunt in 2000 as a division of Monarch Recruitment, which provides recruitment services to the IT and Oil & Gas sectors, Monarch Education operates from a network of offices in Birmingham, Nottingham, Manchester, Liverpool and Bristol, with over 55 consultants. The Company is the largest provider of teachers in the West Midlands, which was a key reason for Capita’s interest in the company. Capita Education Resourcing, a division of Capita, is one of the largest providers of teachers across the country. The acquisition cements this position and strengthens Capita’s presence in the Midlands.
