Young Talent Invests in Livingstone
November 2010
Livingstone Partners’ London office has announced the addition of three new corporate financiers - Simon Cooper, Anant Kapoor and Oliver Vaughan - as it adds resource to accommodate increasing deal volumes. Livingstone London was exceptional among UK M&A advisers in not reducing its corporate finance headcount following the 2008 financial crisis.
Simon joins from Ernst & Young where he spent time in the M&A, restructuring, commercial and financial due diligence teams across the Retail and Media sectors. Simon is joined by former colleague from E&Y Anant, who focused principally on M&A transactions in the Financial Services sector while at the Big Four accountancy firm. Oliver Vaughan has joined from Deloitte where he gained extensive experience of transactions in the Energy, Infrastructure and Utilities' sectors.
Partner at Livingstone James Lever commented: “We have experienced a sustained increase in new project flow and an encouraging willingness to get deals done throughout the mid-market. The arrival of Simon, Anant and Oliver ensures that we can continue to deliver the high level of client service that Livingstone is known for as the M&A market builds momentum.”
Livingstone has expanded throughout 2010 with the addition of a team of 10 M&A professionals in Düsseldorf in July, taking its total headcount across its London, Chicago, Madrid and Düsseldorf teams to 70 staff. The London office expects to continue recruiting further corporate financiers in early 2011.
