He provided M&A, capital raise, financial restructuring, and strategic advisory services in a variety of sectors, including consumer products, food and beverage, manufacturing, metals, healthcare services, business services, and electrical products. Prior to BGL, Ryan worked as an analyst in the special situations group of Merrill Lynch Business Financial Services in Chicago.

Steve leads Livingstone’s Industrial practice, and is also active in the Infrastructure and Environmental Services Sectors. He has 15 years of experience advising middle market companies on M&A transactions, financial restructurings, and debt and equity raises. Before co-founding Livingstone USA, Steve held the position of Managing Director at both Brown Gibbons Lang & Co. and Goldsmith Agio Helms & Co. Early in his career, Steve honed his experience working with middle market companies in a variety of capacities including leveraged finance at Bank of America, full service capital markets at Morgan Keegan, and principal activities at Harbour Group and Foundation Partners.

Most recently, Jim served as Director at Goldsmith Agio Helms (now Lazard Middle Market) and was an investment banking associate with Lehman Brothers. He began his career at Arthur Andersen.
